Your Solmates should be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.  Solmates are designed for the immediate transport and application of substances within a short period of time, not for long-term storage. 

To clean out all parts of your Solmate:

1. Unscrew the lid and the base (please do not try to remove the roller ball)
2. Using detergent and a brush or similar, thoroughly scrub and clean all parts
3. Rinse off detergent
4. Leave your Solmates to fully dry before using again
