About Jude Turner

Jude Turner, is the owner of cravehome and has always had a love for homewares, home decor and design. Several years ago, an opportunity came up that sparked her interest in potentially owning her own store. As fate had it, Jude spied an opportunity in Birkenhead that couldn't be missed.
"My husband and I wanted to start our own homewares store from scratch and we thought Birkenhead was the perfect spot for it.  Enter, cravehome. To me, the words mean something aspirational and something that is to be desired.  crave was the first name that came to me, and I didn’t consider anything else after that. We opened cravehome in 2009 in Hinemoa Street, and moved to our current location in Mokoia Road two years later. It's a beautiful space and is also handy to home."

Jude's main focus is to provide beautiful products that inspire and delight.
Jude says: "I love finding new products for the store, and get excited about the potential for showing them off to our customers in store, on our website and places like Instagram and Pinterest. I love doing the merchandising and putting the store displays and windows together. I love everything about it."

The team at the store, Jude explains were all customers at one point but now make for a stable and supportive working network. "We all get on well together, have a bit of fun and love what we do." Jude says.
