Greenstone Wedge-shaped pendant 3.2cm with silver thread

Wedge shaped greenstone pendant on sterling silver chain. The greenstone wedge is 32 mm long and 10mm wide with a sterling silver band inlaid. Genuine New Zealand Pounamu (Greenstone), sourced and hand carved in Aotearoa (New Zealand). Pounamu is of great cultural significance for Maori and is believed to enhance mana (prestige) of its possessor. When received as a gift Pounamu is said to gain value as a special treasure.
